Butcher Block Work Surfaces - Straight From The Mill!

Preferred for its hard surface, beauty and durability, our butcher block work surfaces are made from 1.75" thick strips of genuine maple hardwood. To prevent warpage and splitting, the wood is dried in a low-heat atmosphere for almost one year before it is cut into strips and glued edge to edge. The hardwood strips vary in width, giving the work surface added strength, while reducing the probability of them splitting.

Our butcher block surfaces are received fresh from the mill, after which we size, sand, rounds the edges, and finally applies either an oiled or lacquered finish. Lacquered tops are desired for a more "finsihed" appearance, while oiled tops are less expensive and can be resurfaced easily, making them better for high-use, production areas.

Easy Assembly

BUILT RIGHT workbenches assemble easily in minutes. The top and apron are factory assembled and welded for stability, and the legs bolt to the worksurface with one strong bolt per leg. Hundreds of optional accessories can be utilized by attaching uprights to your work bench.

1. Place the unopened box on a small table with the seam tape facing up. Open the box, leaving the cardboard underneath. Separate out the interior packaging.

2. Locate the bag of fasteners (attached to one screw under the top). Insert one glide through the threaded hole in the bottom of the legs. Put the nut on the end of the inserted glide. Do not tighten yet.

3. Find the front side of the legs and top (labeled front). Place the top of the leg frame holes over the elevated screw heads, and slide the base so the screw shafts slide into the slot. Tighten the screws.

4. The front of the legs have 1/4" holes. The back side of each leg has 4 smaller, threaded holes. Position the back bar over the threaded holes, insert screws and tighten (there are no lock washers or nuts required here).

5. Turn the work bench over, and adjust the glides until level. Now tighten the nuts on the glides.
