Isopropyl Alcohol

Acetone
Acetone is a common degreaser, solvent, and denaturant for pharmaceuticals, soldering, and reflow of printed circuit boards (PCBs). It is a common for post-processing 3D printed parts when vapor smoothing, cold welding, and paint preparation. Acetone dissolves layer lines and improves paint adhesion with minimal sanding. Cold welding adheres 3D printed parts without adhesive or sanding by applying a thin layer of solvent. For PLA parts, acetone generates a sufficient bond for mock prototypes or reconnecting pieces that broke off post-print.
