Container Dri® II Tyvek® Desiccant Bags with Adhesive Backing

Container Dri® II helps to safeguard food quality and reduce food waste by protecting shipments during transportation, particularly over long journeys and through different climate zones. While absorbing water, the product transforms from granules into a gel that securely locks in the water without any possibility for liquid to escape, spill, or drip. The non-toxic drying agent offers a high level of safety and the saturated dehumidification bags, strips, or poles can be disposed of through normal industrial waste.

  • Safe for contact with food products
  • Fumarate Free (DMF) - Non-Toxic
  • Safe & easy to handle
  • easy disposal with normal industrial waste
  • Cost-effective
  • More absorption with less desiccant
  • Meets FCC Guideline Recommendation for Shipment of Cocoa Beans in Containers
  • Variety of applications: canned goods, automotive parts, powders, glass, wood, machinery, furniture, agricultural products such as coffee beans, cocoa beans, and

The combined mixture of deliquescent salt and binding agent from renewable resources absorbs moisture from the ambient air in the cargo container to prevent condensation, also known as container sweat or container rain.

Why do I need a desiccant bag?

Moisture can quickly affect the value or even destroy many types of valuable goods, causing rust, corrosion, mildew, mold, and device malfunction. By sealing goods inside packaging with the appropriate desiccant, goods can be protected from moisture and maintain long shelf lives.

The desiccant reduces the humidity inside a sealed package as soon as they are placed inside.

The absorption capacity is dependent on the relative humidity (r.h.) of the surrounding air.

Desiccant Industries

Placed within a sealed package or container, desiccant bags will protect any number of products, including:

  • aircraft storage
  • laid-up ships (lay-up vessels)
  • stacked rigs (mothballing)
  • automobile parts
  • electronic components (example: surface mount devices, integrated circuits, circuit boards, capacitors, and resistors) used in dry pak per JEDEC J-STD-033
  • engines
  • semiconductors
  • food
  • leathers
  • packaged foods - cartons, cans, boxes
  • machinery
  • medical devices
  • metals
  • military goods
  • nutraceuticals
  • textiles
  • 3D Printing Filament
